USA TODAY | LAS VEGAS — Anyone with a smartphone is now a media producer, so the National Association of Broadcasters is enlarging its tent to highlight more technology start-ups catering to this growing class of entrepreneurs.

Among the 92,000 attendees at its annual trade show here this week were a handful of young market-ready companies selected by a panel of judges to be showcased. Others were here on their own, hoping to strike partnerships, be acquired or gain a customer or two.
